Nestled in the serene hills of Vihiga County, Kaimosi Friends University (KAFU) stands as one of Kenya's fastest-growing public universities. Located within the historic Kaimosi Complex, the university offers a peaceful learning environment surrounded by lush greenery, making it an ideal destination for academic excellence and personal growth.

Upon entering the university, visitors are welcomed by a well-organized campus that blends modern academic facilities with the rich Quaker heritage that has defined Kaimosi since the establishment of the first Friends school in 1902. The institution received its university charter on August 2, 2022, marking its transition into a fully-fledged public university.

The tour takes visitors through modern lecture halls, science laboratories, computer laboratories, digital library facilities, and student learning spaces designed to support quality education. KAFU offers more than 38 academic programmes through its five schools, including Business and Economics, Computing and Information Technology, Education and Social Sciences, Health Sciences, and Science.

A visit to the School of Health Sciences reveals one of the university's unique strengths. KAFU is among the few institutions in Kenya offering Optometry programmes up to PhD level, making it a key center for health training and research.

Beyond academics, the university boasts student residences, sports and recreation facilities, and vibrant student life that fosters leadership, innovation, and community engagement. The calm atmosphere, combined with the institution's commitment to integrity, excellence, and service, creates an environment where students can thrive both academically and socially.

As the tour concludes, visitors leave with a clear understanding of why Kaimosi Friends University proudly carries the motto "Spring of Knowledge." It is a university where tradition meets innovation, producing graduates equipped to transform society through education, research, and service.
