Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) National Chairperson Gladys Wanga has assured party members and aspirants that the party's nomination process ahead of the 2027 General Election will be free, fair, and transparent.

Speaking during a meeting of ODM aspirants from the Luo Nyanza region, Wanga said the party is committed to conducting credible nominations that reflect the will of its members. She emphasized that all candidates will be subjected to the same nomination process and that no individual will receive preferential treatment.

Wanga urged aspirants to focus on grassroots mobilization and strengthening the party rather than engaging in divisive politics. She also dismissed claims of internal divisions within ODM, maintaining that the party remains united under the leadership of Oburu Oginga.

Her remarks come as political parties begin positioning themselves for the 2027 elections, with nominations expected to play a critical role in determining candidates for various elective seats. Wanga noted that the party's electoral board will oversee the process to ensure transparency and credibility.

ODM leaders have also cautioned aspirants against voter bribery and the use of money to influence nomination outcomes, insisting that leadership should be determined by the genuine support of party members.
