The Maseno University fraternity has joined family members, friends and the wider community in mourning the untimely death of Dennis Kipchirchir, whose burial ceremony brought together student leaders and members of the university community to celebrate his life and bid him farewell.

The ceremony was marked by emotional moments as fellow students, university leaders and friends gathered to honour the departed comrade, remembering him for his humility, friendly nature and contribution to the community.

The students were led by Maseno University Class Representatives Association (MUCRA) Chairperson Ogalo Ariro, who joined other student leaders in standing with the bereaved family during the difficult moment.

Also present were Students Organization of Maseno University (SOMU) Vice Chairperson Mitchell Kerich and SOMU Campuses Representative Steve Biko. Sirikwa House Chairman Rotich was also in attendance, demonstrating solidarity with the family and the university fraternity.

Dennis was born on 31st May 2005 in the Siriet area of Nandi County. His educational journey saw him attend several institutions before joining Maseno University in 2023, where he pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Archaeology.

Dennis was remembered as a humble, polite and sociable young man who easily established friendships with people from different walks of life. His willingness to assist others and participate in community activities made him a cherished member of the society.

His passing has left a painful gap among his family, friends and fellow students, particularly those who shared memorable moments with him during his university journey.

As the Maseno University fraternity comes to terms with the loss, the presence of student leaders at the burial reflected the importance of unity, compassion and standing together during moments of grief.

Dennis Kipchirchir may have departed, but the memories he created and the lives he touched will remain cherished.
